Madeleine Wright
Director / Occupational Therapist

Meet Madeleine, or Maddy, Occupational Therapist and Director of Making Waves Occupational Therapy.
With a passion for the early childhood space, Maddy thrives on providing comprehensive support to children in their natural environments—whether at home, school, kindergarten, or during meaningful extracurricular activities. She has experience working with children aged 3 to 16 years.
Maddy is a strong advocate for neurodivergent individuals, respecting their differences while acknowledging and addressing the barriers they may face in everyday life. She is particularly passionate about working with autistic clients and their families, fostering a sense of belonging, shifting the focus to their strengths, and supporting them in achieving their goals.
Creating environments where children can truly thrive is at the heart of Maddy’s work. She prides herself on building meaningful connections with children and their families, ensuring they feel supported, understood, and empowered. She isn’t afraid to make a few waves when it comes to advocating for what’s best for the children she works with.
Maddy genuinely loves her job, and watching children grow and succeed is her favorite part of all.
Recently, Maddy has embraced motherhood with her son, Leo, and is loving all that comes with it. In her free time, she enjoys weekends away, playing netball, and cherishing precious moments with her little family.
Meaghan Peck
Practice Manager

Meaghan has worked in the allied health industry for over a decade and brings a wealth of knowledge, empathy, and lived experience to her role.
She is deeply passionate about supporting Autistic and Neurodivergent clients and is committed to creating a space where individuals and families feel truly seen, heard, and supported.
Meaghan is also a strong advocate for our community and works hard to ensure that Neurodivergent voices are valued and included in everything we do.
At Making Waves, she keeps things running smoothly while making sure both our clients and team feel cared for every step of the way.
Outside of work, Meaghan loves spending time with her husband, children, extended family, and close friends. She also has a deep interest in Autism and Neurodivergence, which continues to shape both her work and her worldview.
April Murrell
Occupational Therapist

April a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist who graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from ACU in 2018.
April works alongside children, teens, and their families to support growth, independence, and wellbeing. She is passionate about creating therapy that is collaborative, engaging, and tailored to each child’s strengths, needs, and goals.
With experience across school, kindergarten, and community settings, April values the opportunity to meet children in environments where they feel most comfortable. She takes a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach, aiming to empower young people to feel confident, capable, and understood.Outside of work hours, April enjoys spending time with her two cats, relaxing at the beach, watching movies, and diving into her hobbies, including anime, gaming, K-pop, and reading fantasy novels.
Amy Williams
Occupational Therapist

Amy is an Occupational Therapist who completed her Masters of Occupational Therapy Practice at Monash University.
Amy is dedicated to helping children reach their goals through focusing on their strengths and interests. Amy uses a strengths-based, family-centred approach and values building meaningful connections with her clients and their support networks. Amy is passionate about neuro-affirming practice and loves to celebrate the uniqueness of all brains.
Amy also has previous experience as a disability support worker, where she has supported children and young adults in school, at home, and in the community.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her young family, going for runs, and exploring the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.
Amber Anderson
Occupational Therapist

Amber graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from Monash University in 2023. While studying, Amber worked as a Disability Support Worker and Allied Health Assistant where she developed her passion for working with neurodivergent children.
Amber previously worked in community aged care as a New Graduate OT and is now focused on supporting children and their families through a neuro-affirming approach. She is dedicated to promoting meaningful engagement in daily activities and occupations, while fostering connections with clients through a strengths-based lens. Amber takes a thoughtful, individualised approach, by prioritising the exploration of each child’s unique interests and hobbies to support their growth and development.
Outside of work, Amber enjoys playing netball, spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, and exploring the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.
Vicky Tamvakis
Occupational Therapist

Vicky is a former student of Making Waves and holds a Master of Occupational Therapy from Monash University.
Since 2021, she has worked as a Disability Support Worker, where she discovered her strong passion for supporting neurodivergent children and their families.
Vicky is enthusiastic about providing care through a neuro-affirming lens. She has a natural ability to build rapport with children, engaging with their interests and adapting her approach to create environments where they feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow. She is committed to promoting meaningful engagement and participation in everyday activities while fostering strong, supportive relationships with her clients and their families.
In her free time, Vicky loves beach walks, baking, going to the gym and pilates, exploring new restaurants, engaging in her Greek culture and spending time with her family and friends.
Kelsey Berndt
Occupational Therapist

Kelsey holds a Master of Occupational Therapy from Monash University.
Kelsey is also a Registered Nurse and has worked within the public hospital system in numerous areas including acute medical, surgical and rehabilitation. More recently Kelsey has worked as a baby and infant hydro and massage therapist.
Kelsey is at ease engaging in team environments. Kelsey loves building rapport and connections with children and their families. She enjoys seeing how creating supportive environments allows children to flourish.
Kelsey is super excited about her role as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist and excited to have joined the Making Waves team!
In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys moving, whether at the gym, going for a walk or swim, Reading, and spending quality time with her close friends, family, and dogs at home.
Keely Phillips
Allied Health Assistant & OT student

Keely is pursuing a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and is excited to gain hands-on experience as an Allied Health Assistant at Making Waves OT. She is enthusiastic about her future career as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist and is an asset to the Making Waves OT team.
Keely has a natural ability to connect with children, making them feel comfortable and valued. Keely is passionate about creating supportive environments where children can thrive.
In her spare time, Keely loves playing basketball and enjoys coaching kids, helping them develop their skills and confidence. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
